Frequently asked questions

How is this different from property cover?+

A property policy covers external causes — fire, water, theft, natural events. This one applies when the machine fails from the inside. Georgian insurers often sell the two as sections of one policy, so it is worth sending a request for both.

Why do you ask about age and workload?+

Because those are what decide how often a machine fails. A 15-year-old lathe on three shifts and the same lathe running twice a week are entirely different risks.

Are boilers and pressure vessels covered?+

Often yes, but they sit on a separate rate and require statutory inspection. That is why we ask about them separately — it routes your request to the insurers that genuinely write that risk.

Can I buy it on its own, or only with property cover?+

Both are possible. Some Georgian insurers offer it as a section of the property policy, others stand-alone. Once you send a request you will see who offers what.
